The votes are in! We asked you to vote between two stretch goals to help us determine which one we should prioritize in our campaign. The results show that the majority would like to see us upgrade our cardboard box tray to a plastic organizer tray! This stretch goal will be added to CULTivate if we reach the $25,000 funding goal!

What about the card upgrade? We still hope to include this goal into CULTivate as well! But we will be pushing it back to the $30,000 stretch goal. With your help we hope to meet both of these stretch goals and make both upgrades happen. The next milestone is just around the corner! Stretch Goal Voting! Thanks to 500+ Backers!

We have been getting a lot of questions recently about our stretch goals, and after some discussion as a team, we wanted to provide an update. A handful of folks have messaged us to ask about our in-box tray situation. Our base game is planned to have a cardboard tray in the box, but the hidden stretch goal we had planned was an upgrade to a plastic organizer tray. After hearing from our backers that they want to see the plastic organizer tray we have decided to give YOU a say in the matter. We are giving you all the opportunity to vote on which stretch goal you'd prefer to see first. Whichever goal has the most votes will be included in our game at the $25,000 funding goal, and the other will be moved back to the $30,000 funding goal. Google will require you to sign in to vote and will only allow you to fill out the poll once (to keep things fair). Voting opens now and will close at noon on March 14th.

First Stretch Goal Unlocked!

It's been just over a week since we reached our initial funding goal and we are already hitting another big milestone! After cultivating a total of $20,000 we are thrilled to announce that our first stretch goal has been unlocked! With the additional funding we have received from you and other backers, we will be able to print our character agenda mats on a thicker, more durable cardboard, rather than on the originally planned 400 gsm cardstock. 

The next stretch goal we have planned for our loyal followers is the upgrade in card material for our playing deck! Check out the the stretch goals section of our campaign page (that's the one with the fun stretch limo gif) to see the full list of stretch goals we are hoping to bring to you!

Meet the Characters & Integrate Into Their Cults!

One of our favorite parts of CULTivate is the dynamic cast of characters we have created! These cult leaders each have their own unique backstory and motivation that drives them to recruit followers. Get to know a little more about each character and their cult by reading their bios below! Don't forget that you can integrate into your favorite cult at the $45 pledge level to receive your Welcome Package with your leader's magnet, button, sticker, and iron-on patch! Already made a pledge? You can hit Manage your Pledge to adjust your pledge level up until the end of the campaign. Can't decide on a favorite cult?  Paula Nation

“Honey, this will only sting a little.”

An environmentalist who has long advocated for mandatory beekeeping by every citizen. After years of fruitless fighting, she has built a bee sanctuary for her Honey Helpers to join her in saving these crucial pollinators. She preaches that bees, with their pollinating powers, are the only way to ensure a future for the planet. She conducts genetic experiments on her followers, in hopes of creating a hive of human-bee hybrids. With the threat of an impending doomsday, she has built an underground bunker beneath the sanctuary to house her followers. When the planet is torn apart by the parasitic nature of humanity, her hive will be there to pollinate the world and be the last surviving remnant of the human race.

Lee Sakhando

"Construction or Alien Abduction, your choice."

A real estate mogul with a devious plan to acquire more land. Claiming to have been contacted from the mysterious unknowns, they warn citizens of a forthcoming extraterrestrial invasion. They explain that the only way to be spared is by offering up land for the construction of the aliens’ home base. By handing their land over to Lee, followers earn a spot at Lee’s safe haven. Lee selects top recruits to help in building this home base, which in all actuality, are just deluxe condominiums. Once construction is complete, Lee will announce the descendance is near and order followers to shelter at the compound indefinitely to ensure their survival. Lee claims they are the only one who can visit the home base, because they serve as the liaison between the Alien Allies and these great beings. All the while, Lee is keeping their followers at the compound, because instead of aliens, they would find affluent retirees residing in the deluxe condos. While filling the minds of their followers with celestial stories, they are filling their own bank account with overpriced rent checks.

Pierre Ahmed Skeem

“Trust me, you're glowing. Literally.”

A businessman looking to make a hefty profit selling his Necessary Lotions to customers desperate to look young. These scam-care products promise to eliminate wrinkles, shrink pores, and ensure eternal youth. He entices his followers with the promise of unlimited products, in exchange for their commitment to live at his compound and become Necessary Lotions Ambassadors. The secret ingredient in his formula causes psychological side-effects, which he uses to manipulate his followers into thinking the regimen really works. As long as they meet their quota, sellers receive their monthly ration of products which motivates them to continue making sales. Using his followers' blind devotion to the brand, he rakes in the money, despite reports of consumers displaying odd side effects.

Shirley U.L. Dye

“Rule the runway, or dye trying.”

A fashion designer who was once up-and-coming, but quickly faded into obscurity. The fashion world wrote her off as a one-pattern phony with a tie-dye obsession of tasteless proportions. To prove that she is “so not last season”, she has built her own workshop to create her designs. With empty promises of modeling careers and fashion connections, her workshop is filled with hopeful followers working around the clock. She will not rest until her hypnotic patterns take over the fashion world. She vows that everyone will know the name Shirley U.L. Dye, even if that means working her followers to death.

Ryan O'Hunter

“Cut the Bull.”

An exotic animal hunter seeking revenge after a traumatic incident left him with a scar on his cheek and a chip on his shoulder. He rallies followers with the notion that big animals are the greatest threat to society and must be exterminated. He has built a state of the art facility to prepare his followers for the hunt. Target practice, weapons manufacturing, and the spread of propaganda fuel his cause towards a world where no species is protected. Using funds secured by his sales of ivory and furs on the black market, he won’t stop until he gets his revenge and lays these beasts to rest.

CULTivate has been funded! New stretch goal revealed! Updated Shipping Chart!

YOU DID IT! With the help of 300+ backers, CULTivate has been 100% funded and will be coming to you this fall! Now that we know this game IS HAPPENING (eek!) we can give our manufacturer the go ahead to start producing the initial prototype! Starting this process now will help us ensure that we can start mass production as soon as the campaign ends and get you your copy of CULTivate on time. 

We've met our funding goal, now what? Now that we have met the project goal we can start working towards stretch goals! Stretch goals are funding milestones that will allow us to enhance our game and make it last. Our first stretch goal is upgrading the material of our character agenda mats from cardstock to a thicker cardboard making them more durable and longer lasting! Follow along as we work toward stretch goals and encourage your game loving friends to join in on the fun!

One last update to share is the facelift we gave to the shipping price chart. We had some questions about the country abbreviations so have have listed out full country names and added an additional country, Sweden, to the chart! We can still ship to just about everywhere, so if you do not see your country listed on the shipping chart send us a message and we can give you a more accurate shipping quote for your country!
